I'm feeling SO grateful today!!
The little one we have waited for SO long is here safe and sound in our family.
She is perfect.
The way she arrived may not have been my perfect scenario. Let's just say, I was excited to be induced mostly because I really really really wanted an epidural... and when things sped up so fast (like last time), and they said, "Sorry, you're at an 8.", I might have freaked out a bit. But, what matters is that she is here and healthy, so I just won't complain about going natural anymore.
After struggling so long to pick a name, we finally narrowed it down to 2 choices and let Karter and Ty decide when they met her. Her name is Jacy Kathren Arritt. (Kathren is a combination of her 2 amazing grandmas- Kathy and Karen).
She was bigger than expected at 8 lbs 22 inches.
I love that my sweet Karter was just so excited to see her that he woke up at 5:30 and got dressed. Then sat down at the computer, logged into an email account and sent his teacher an email letting her know about his new sister. I didn't know he knew how to do this!
Then, when he finally got to come see Jacy at the hospital, I absolutely love that the first words out of his mouth were, "How are you feeling Mom?" He is so thoughtful.
I also loved one of Ty's questions, "So did they have to cut your belly open?" "Good."
Kollan is so excited to have a girl, and I have a feeling she will be spoiled.
Jacy and I were doing so well, that they sent us home about 15 hours after delivery.
It's nice to be home and get some real rest.
1 day old. Just in time for Spring and March Madness.
We love you so much Jacy and are SO SO SO grateful you came to our family.
