Ty Maxwell Arritt!

He's here!! Ty was born on Tuesday, December 11th at 2:06 am. He measured at 7 lbs 5 oz and 20 inches long. He's so adorable and we're so grateful he is healthy and well. It still seems shocking that we have two kids, but of course, it's so exciting.
Kollan and I had just had it in our minds that I would probably have to be induced (like with Karter) because that's all we had known. So when I started into labor on Monday night, we were skeptical and wanted to make sure we didn't get sent back home. I didn't know what it felt like to go naturally. If I had known how fast I would go, I definitly would have gone to the hospital immedietly. We called our neighbor to come over with Karter at about 1 am, when my contractions had very quickly become only 4 minutes apart. Then we drove the 5 minutes to the hospital, and while checking in I realized the contractions were now 1-2 minutes apart. They got me into my hospital bed at 1:30 and Ty was born at 2:06. I became very nervous when they told me I didn't have time for an epidural, and more than ever before I am a BIG fan of the epidural. I won't pretend to be good with pain, and I'm just so glad that if I had to do it naturally, at least it went so quickly.
We feel so blessed to have two wonderful and healthy little boys. What a wonderful Christmas this is- we couldn't have asked for a greater gift!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving Holiday and were so glad that Kirk and Falycia could come and visit. I finally let Karter play in the snow because I finally got him some snow boots. He loved it and didn't want to come in. Uncle Kirk showed him how to make a snow angel.

Life is good!

We're just so grateful for Karter and also for our new baby who will be coming so soon now. Karter is such a good kid and is so funny. He loves to sing and dance, and especially loves, "I am a Child of God", and sings it all the time. We're looking forward to our next little guy to enter our family in probably 3 or 4 weeks now. As you can see I'm getting quite big!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!! We had a lot of fun- Karter was finally at the age where he really got excited and enjoyed every second of it. He was really excited to dress up as Dash Incredible. We took him to the Ward party where he got a lot of candy and played lots of carnival games. On Halloween day, we went to the med clinic on base (where Kollan works) and took him around trick-or-treating to all the different clinics. He loved it and there were so many kids with such great costumes. Then, we did trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Anyway, Karter ended up with a lot of candy and had such a great time. At the end of the night, I said, "We sure had a fun Halloween. Now we can look forward to Thanksgiving." He asked, "What do we do at Thanksgiving?" That made me think about how much Halloween is geared toward kids, and Thanksgiving just isn't. I told him, "We'll eat a lot of food and think about how blessed we are." He wasn't too impressed. But I'm really excited.

More Island Park Pics

The Cabin

We had a great time at the cabin over Labor Day. We were so glad that Kollan could get some time off so that we could go be with family. We played a lot of games, and Kollan got to finally do some fishing and golfing. Karter loved riding on the golf cart, going for walks, feeding the fish, and just playing anything outside.

It's a.....?

We're so excited to be expecting another baby- we can hardly wait until December. This last week at our ultrasound we were told we will be having another little boy, and we're so happy. Everything seems to be well and healthy. Now we just have to hope that Kollan and I will be able to decide on a name we both like by the time our new little guy comes.

Colorado Rockies

We're excited to be only about an hour and a half from Denver. Yesterday, we drove down to see the Rockies play the Nationals. We all had a really fun time- we love going to baseball games.

Our New Place!

We are now mostly moved into our new house in Cheyenne. We live in historical base housing on F.E. Warren Air Force base, and it is both beautiful and spacious. We know we will enjoy our time here on base and in Cheyenne. It seems like a nice place to live and everyone has been very friendly.

Karter is Three!!

It seems unreal that Karter is already three years old!! He's such a great little boy- so sweet and good all around. He has a fun personality and huge imagination. He's full of fun and love and we're so greatful that he's a part of our family. We had a quiet birthday in our new home in Cheyenne. The day before, some friends took us out to lunch and Karter got to play with their kids (who became his instant friends). On his birthday, we went to church, and had dinner, presents and cake.

Chuck-E-Cheese

When Kollan got back from Alabama, Gma Bell took us to Chuck-E-Cheese to celebrate Karter's birthday early (since she wouldn't be with us on his birthday- we'd be in Cheyenne). It's one of Karter's favorite places, and Kollan, mom and I had a great time too (playing Skee-ball!).

Orem Summerfest

While Kollan was away at COT, Karter and I spent time with family. We went with Gma Bell to the Orem Summerfest, which Karter absolutely loved! He rode the rides and went to the parade, but he especially loved the fireworks! It was all a lot of fun. Gma Bell also took us to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point, Scera Waterpark, and other fun places. It was so fun to see her and Max.

Gma and Gpa Arritt's

After graduation, we went to Idaho to spend time with family before Kollan went off to Alabama for Officer's training camp with the Air Force. While in Idaho we went out fishing, saw Shrek 3, played in the yard with a swimming pool and squirt guns, and so much more fun stuff. We were glad to get to see Kesie and Brian, Great Gpa and Gma Arritt, and Great Gpa and Gma Maxwell.

HE'S DONE!!!

Wow!! Congratulations to Kollan! He's finished with Optometry School, and we're all so proud of him. He worked so hard and did great- and even received the Outstanding Clinician Award in his class. It's hard to believe that we're not students anymore and are in a completely new stage of life. We're very excited and again- good job Kollan!

We had a great time at the Mariners/Yankees game!! We were so glad that friends Nate, Cali, Collin, and Olivia could come up! Karter loved the game (even though the Yankees won). We would laugh because he would all of a sudden become so serious during the game and say, "Oh, no. Yankees won." Even still when we talk about the Yankees, Karter will say, "We don't like Yankess, no. We like Mariners." And his favorite baseball player is, "E-Chee-Row"
