Karter is Three!!

It seems unreal that Karter is already three years old!! He's such a great little boy- so sweet and good all around. He has a fun personality and huge imagination. He's full of fun and love and we're so greatful that he's a part of our family. We had a quiet birthday in our new home in Cheyenne. The day before, some friends took us out to lunch and Karter got to play with their kids (who became his instant friends). On his birthday, we went to church, and had dinner, presents and cake.

Chuck-E-Cheese

When Kollan got back from Alabama, Gma Bell took us to Chuck-E-Cheese to celebrate Karter's birthday early (since she wouldn't be with us on his birthday- we'd be in Cheyenne). It's one of Karter's favorite places, and Kollan, mom and I had a great time too (playing Skee-ball!).

Orem Summerfest

While Kollan was away at COT, Karter and I spent time with family. We went with Gma Bell to the Orem Summerfest, which Karter absolutely loved! He rode the rides and went to the parade, but he especially loved the fireworks! It was all a lot of fun. Gma Bell also took us to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point, Scera Waterpark, and other fun places. It was so fun to see her and Max.

Gma and Gpa Arritt's

After graduation, we went to Idaho to spend time with family before Kollan went off to Alabama for Officer's training camp with the Air Force. While in Idaho we went out fishing, saw Shrek 3, played in the yard with a swimming pool and squirt guns, and so much more fun stuff. We were glad to get to see Kesie and Brian, Great Gpa and Gma Arritt, and Great Gpa and Gma Maxwell.

HE'S DONE!!!

Wow!! Congratulations to Kollan! He's finished with Optometry School, and we're all so proud of him. He worked so hard and did great- and even received the Outstanding Clinician Award in his class. It's hard to believe that we're not students anymore and are in a completely new stage of life. We're very excited and again- good job Kollan!

We had a great time at the Mariners/Yankees game!! We were so glad that friends Nate, Cali, Collin, and Olivia could come up! Karter loved the game (even though the Yankees won). We would laugh because he would all of a sudden become so serious during the game and say, "Oh, no. Yankees won." Even still when we talk about the Yankees, Karter will say, "We don't like Yankess, no. We like Mariners." And his favorite baseball player is, "E-Chee-Row"

Spring Break!!!

We had a very fun Spring Break. Gpa, Gma and Uncle Kirk came to visit. We did a lot of playing and went to the beach!

Hoogle Zoo

While in Utah, we went to the zoo with Gma and Gpa Bell and Aaron, Katie and Emma. What a fun day! Karter loved the animals (it was a step up from the day before when we went to the Bean Museum and saw the dead animals)!! We all had a great time.

Cousin Emma

Karter loved playing with Emma. They are exactly a month apart and have a great time together. We went to the zoo and to visit Gma Williams. They were adorable together and would give hugs or hold hands. They learned to share Gma Bell, who loves to play and read with them both.

Cannon Beach

We love Cannon Beach! It turned out to be much nicer than we first expected even though it wasn't the sunniest of days. We had a great time relaxing and playing in the sand. Karter wanted to constantly fill his little bucket with water to put in his hole in the sand. It was a never ending task.

PGE Park

When Gma and Gpa Arritt and Aunt Kelsie came up to visit, we had a blast. Karter loved having his aunt and grandparents here and especially took to his "Papa". This night we went to a Portland Beavers baseball game. Very fun.

TWO YEARS OLD!!

I can't believe my little baby boy is two!! When did that happen?
He's finally taken off with talking, and learns new words all the time. I'm really impressed with how many letters he knows. He also has an amazing grasp of animals. He can point out some lesser known animals in his books (puffin, tamarin, carabou, macaw, toucan, etc). He's a smart kid and is known for his mellowness. Sure he can have a tantrum or be whiney sometimes, but he really is just a good kid with a sweet and mellow personality.

Karter had a great birthday. We spent the day at Hugpoint beach with friends. Karter loved playing in the sand (so did I!). The day was perfect, and we'll really miss Oregon beaches when we move. It was just a warm and beautiful day. Later, we had a little party and had Elmo (or as Karter says, "Melmo") cake.

Oregon Children's Museum

Karter absolutely loved the children's museum! There were so many different rooms and activities. We could have stayed there for days. We especially loved that rubber pit, the grocery store, the train room, the water room, and the music room. What a great place. Plus, we showed at the right time- free cake and a magic show- celebrating the museum's birthday. Fun, fun day.

Vacation in Utah!

We spent the last part of our vacation in Utah which was a blast. This is a picture of Karter with his arm around cousin Emma, who is one month older than Karter. They had lots of fun playing together.

Christmas in Idaho!!

We had a great time in Idaho for Christmas. It was so fun to get to spend such a long time with family.

Christmas 2005

Before leaving for Christmas vacation, we had our own early Christmas at home!

Halloween!

After trying this costume on Karter, I couldn't resist buying it. He was definitely the cutest pumpkin, and he really enjoyed this Halloween.

September 2005

Karter is just as cute as ever! He has a funny personality and is just a happy boy. He loves EVERYONE right now, and will go up to strangers for hugs (and food). I'm amazed at just how much he understands. He knows things like: "Get your shoes." "Want some lunch?" "Brush your hair." "Where's the toothpaste?", and so many more. As far as talking, he doesn't say too much. I think he finds he can get along well enough with the words, "Ma-ma" "Da-da" "Moo" and "Go." He's very fond of "Moo", which is great if someone asks him what a cow says, but doesn't work for much else.

THE BEACH!

We went out to the coast with some friends before all the warm weather was gone. It was a perfect day! We had a great time and Karter enjoyed the beach more now that he can walk.
